Maybe a mission about getting hostages out from the terrorist clutches without getting them killed. Could even be a multiplayer as well with one individual being the hostage with only a pistol and having escorts to get them to a safe location, while others attack or try to kill the hostage. If the hostage reaches the safe zone then the mission is a success if not the the enemy wins.

Another might be Iran Nuclear program. Have a team of operatives go in find and defuse a nuclear bomb, with several possible different locations, before it goes off. Put a time limit and enemy to defend. Also could be the ultimate hunt for the missing WMD's.....We've found the stache of WMD's in IRAN...

Sounds a lot like Rainbow Six...not that that's a bad thing.

Never played rainbow six,so I take it they have plots like that then? I've seen it in the stores, but never really talked to anyone thats played the game.

We have a local soldier MATT MAUPIN, that is currently the only missing solider in Iraqi. Maybe we could do a tribute to him to bring attention to the fact that we have no idea where he is, he's been missing since the beinging of the campain and although his name comes up every now and then, seems ppl are starting to forget we got one of our own out there, we NEED to bring him home. I can't imagine what his parents must be going through.

If your intrested you can find out more about MATT by goggling him..

i played Rainbow Six, bada$$ game. The last mission about the bomb is very similar.

I love the escorting a hostage idea, espeically for RoB. That would bring a whole new element 2 the game.

Also, the tribute 2 the missing soldier...awesome idea. I love it.

I could sound like an old fogey and say "you guys don't know your roots!" or somethin. Rainbow Six put the squad-based tactical shooter genre (of which KumaWar is a member) on the map back in the late 90s, and had tons of expansions and support from the mod community. If not for the success of the R6 games, not only would Tom Clancy have probably gotten out of making games (hence no Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, etc.) but also you probably wouldn't have seen games like S.W.A.T. or Counterstrike emerge, at least not in the form they did. I also wonder how KumaWar would be different if not for the standards set by R6 back in the day.

The plots usually revolved (like other Clancy games) around stuff similar to what was happening in the real world, but with some fictional creative license taken where needed. A lot of hostage rescues, nuke disarmaments, and suppressing biohazardous agents before they could get dumped on an unsuspecting populace. Completing or failing a mission sometimes relied on your ability to rush a room and score a head shot faster than the terrorist can pull a trigger or push a button. Intense stuff.

The best and sometimes worst thing about KumaWar is that it adheres so tightly to real-world events, meaning it's a great simulation of how the situation played out for real, but it doesn't allow fantastical things to happen that might get hardcore gamers more pumped up. In the real world, the end guy isn't a dragon or a hydra or a robot. He's a guy. Just a guy. That's life, I guess.

The President paces back and forth, pausing at times to press the fingers of both hands against his throbbing temples... "So many decisions", he thinks, "and so much at stake!" Negotiations had gone as expected, the results surprising no one. "We tried dammit, we tried!", he thought.
In the office with him were the Joint Chiefs Of Staff, but no one spoke. Everyone's eyes were on the clock... thirty seconds...
The bomber cruises steadily onward toward its designated target, its fighter escorts having veered off to land at a base somewhere in Israel. "Thirty seconds Sir!"... "five, four, three, two, one!... "Gone, Sir and right on target!"
The President, sits down in his chair and leaning forward, covers his face with both hands and weeps!
