Mission 47 - Description
Operation Matador

al-Qaim, Iraq—May7, 2005: As foreign fighters surge through and assemble on the Syrian border, the US military launches a massive, Marine-led campaign to infiltrate the region. The plan is to build a pontoon for troops to use to cross the Euphrates, but they’re attacked long before the bridge is complete.

In the playable mission, your troops suffer a sudden torrent of fire from an adjacent village. You’ll wage a swift counter-attack against the terrorists, but the enemy is surprisingly prepared. From sandbags to body armor, the rebels have insulated themselves against your assault.

In a town crawling with killers in prime offensive positions, do you have the expertise and extraordinary resolve needed to prevail? The enemy flanks you at every turn, and the building-to-building urban assault will not be easy, but you must unearth the enemy and strike.

These rebels are not merely an extension of the insurgency; they are the very heart of it.
