Mission 1 - Your Mission
Uday and Qusay's Last Stand
Uday and Qusay Hussein, sons of Saddam and leaders of his most feared units, have been located in an urban dwelling in the center of Mosul, Iraq. Special Forces, reportedly from Task Force 20 , have assaulted the building, but were beaten back by the desperate defenders firing from defensive positions within the building. Three American soldiers were wounded in the attack.
Heavier firepower - in the form of .50 caliber machine gun fire, Kiowa -launched rockets and AT4 anti-tank missiles - have all been brought to bear, but failed to neutralize the brothers' defense while risking damage to nearby civilian residences.
Your mission begins here, after casualties have been evacuated and a decision made to bring up deadly and accurate TOW missiles . Your first objective is to clear the surrounding area of all enemies, so that the TOW operators can prepare the building for a final assault. Your squad consists of a sniper and three riflemen, carrying M4 assault weapons, an M203 underslung grenade launcher, and AT4 launchers .
You are to move your squad along the perimeter of the area of operations, clearing out any enemies you encounter. While the actual number of Ba'ath party loyalists in the area was never discovered, you will find your mission lousy with militants employing AK47s, along with a few snipers. When you encounter these, find cover and utilize your own sniper or explosive rounds to take them out; you may also wish to split your squad and seek an advantageous position.
When the perimeter is secured, you'll be ready to move on to the second part of this mission, employing TOWs to soften up the villa, then moving in for the final assault.
