This mission is based on the struggle of the lone Navy SEAL who was able to reach sanctuary in an Afghani village after the rest of his squad was outnumbered and defeated by al Qaeda forces in the mountains of Asadabad during Operation Red Wing, a counterterrorism offensive targeting the Kunar Province. As parts of the mission and its aftermath remain classified, we based the area and enemy on layout the scant details available.

This mission features rain to more accurately recreate the event and to add a new feel. The hills and mountains of Afghanistan along the Pakistan border are a favorite haven for al Qaeda. From their mountain hideaway they can carry out attacks in the Afghanistan or retreat across the border into Pakistan. The region offers cover and the advantage of the high ground as well as widely open ground to render attackers more vulnerable for challenging single player and multiplayer games.
