Mission 5 - Force Background & Histories
Samarra Bank Heist, Part 2

1st Battalion, 66th Armor Regiment
The 66th is the oldest armored unit in the United States Army, tracing its lineage to the beginning of the Tank Service in February 1918. Representing the Army as the only Armored Regiment, the ‘Iron Knights’ help test and develop the most sophisticated armored equipment in the world. Technological advances, combined with nearly indestructible warfare equipment, continue to set the pace for the next generation of fighters.

Fedayeen Saddam
A paramilitary group founded in 1995 by Saddam’s son, Uday, the Fedayeen has an estimated strength of between 18,000 and 40,000 troops. ‘Saddam’s Men of Sacrifice’ are reportedly untrained thugs who specialize in crushing domestic opposition. Cited by human rights groups for torturing and disfiguring those critical of the regime, the group has a particular penchant for publicly beheading women. Fedayeen Saddam answers only to members of the presidential family, operating completely outside legal or political structures.

4th Infantry Military Police
The 'Iron Guardians' are stationed out of Ft. Hood, Texas. Once deployed in conflict, the basic MP unit is a three-soldier team - a driver, a gunner, and a team leader. They are trained in operating independently with exceptional interpersonal communication skills. Missions range from escorting convoys, sweeping insecure areas, operating roadblocks, and handling prisoners of war to gathering intelligence. MPs often cooperate with military intelligence, civil affairs, and Special Forces units.
