So we know North Korea has no trouble making the first move.
The spy sub incident helps put current N. Korean defiance into perspective.
Does info like this change the way the US or our Allies should respond now?

I still can't believe N. Korea claimed the sub was on a training mission. That sub was transporting an armed crew of commandos, who just happened to be wearing civilian clothing, holding maps and communication equipment. Why were they carrying non-issue weapons? Plus the amount resistance put up against several thousand ROK regulars leads me to believe that these guys were not sailors who accidentally beached their ship.
I thought it was an act of war, and I don't even want to get started on how the "Clinton Administration" handled the matter.

I just read an article that said N. Korea thinks disarmament of nuclear weapons clears the way for US invasion like in Iraq.
Is it just me, or are we a little busy to go invading N. Korea right now?

I'd say yes.
But I have to Agree with AR_77. If I had been in power I would of seen this as an act of war. When a country, like N korea, with Nukes start to act like this only bad things can come from it. The question is how to proceed. One wrong move could be a disaster. He may or maynot have the capability to hit the U.S. but chinas not that far. and they have nukes too. If I where him I'd hit them then see what the chines counter attack hit. That would be a quick way to start WW3. the U.S. and it Alies namely the U.K. Have a big enough problem with Iraq right now. Agro from another contry could not come at a wores time than now.

They don't seem to be in-control of anythign to me. They seem more out of control than in-control.

You are right Jax. We are spread out the way it is. China is the key to that problem. I would like to see them slap their little communist brother into shape and quit drawing attention to the region. Going in without the consent of China would be a mistake. Even if we did the only way to change the situation would be an overthrow/occupation. I don’t think that would go over well. We would lose needed allies (China and most likely Russia). When I Look East I Still See RED! The situation should have been dissolved in 1996.
Sorry for that but my blood pressure goes up just thinking about it.

You must remeber that things are never that easy. It shoudl of been taken care of in 1996. But on the same token so should of the Iraq issue back in 1991. Too meny things are started and not finnished these days.
