Mission 34 - Tactical Considerations

The tactics discussed here refer to 2-Team RedonBlue.

Team 1 and Team 2 are located at 2 opposite corners of the map. The two teams will tend to meet at a common set of areas about half way across. You have to study these araes and devise the best tactics for spotting and taking out the opposition before they do it to you. Tactics will differ when approaching the same area from the other direction.

There are several things you can do to incraese your success. Travel as a team. Wait for your recently killed comrades to spawn and move out together. Devise a plan and communicate! If you know generally where your mates are and you see them either kill or be killed by an enemy then you have a lot of situational awareness. For example, if you see a teammate die protecting a particular avenue, you can expect the enemy to be coming through that way and possibly flanking or ambushing you depending on the situation.

To the extent you can, create a 'line' across the battle field where you can make a stand. Try to cover all access points to your side of the map such that you can't be flanked.

While your item load-out is small and precious, consider carrying binos if you are not equiped with a sniper rifle. They are helpful in spotting the enemy and with an AT4 or RPG, the combination becomes a very effective long-range weapon; spot then shoot.
