Take it slow
It might be best to take this mission a little slower than normal. You'll be in tight places, and without a sniper you don't have the luxury of keeping your distance from the enemy.

Use your binos
Make ample use of your binoculars as well to determine neutral from foe before you rush into a fire fight.

Pick your battles
Do not kill civilians as that will end the mission in failure. If you can 'pick your battles'; that is, avoid getting into firefights with the enemy when you are close to civilians. Both your weapons and enemy fire will harm the bystanders. Find a firing position clear of civilians so you don't draw enemy fire towards them.
